It’s finally happening!! The Homework Room is finally getting completed! I literally put it on hold last winter/spring as I was busy with client projects (which is always a good thing). Then once the summer hit, we were too busy working on Project Dollhouse AKA the Bunkie.
You can catch up on my plans for the homework room here. The star of the room is going to be this wallpaper my daughters and I chose from Printers Guild Productions.
The wallpaper will only be on one wall, so I had to decide what colour to paint the remaining 2.5 walls. And of course this gorgeous wallpaper gave me 3 vibrant colour choices: Orange, Lilac or Raspberry.
The girls and I nixed the lilac…so now it was down to the orange or the raspberry / pink grapefruit flower as our colour inspiration.
I headed to my local Benjamin Moore Paint store and picked up 2 tester samples of Calypso Orange BM2015-30 and BM2008-30 Raspberry Blush to try on the walls next to the paper.
The minute I brushed the Calypso Orange onto the wall I knew it was the wrong choice…even with a 2nd coat (which I didn’t bother to do) I knew it would be too much for the room.
So I decided to go with Raspberry Blush. I was so excited about it that I tweeted out my colour choice to Benjamin Moore….and below is their response.
